Bellies Babies & Branding with Jessica Nip

SUBSCRIBE: iTunes | Spotify | Stitcher

Jessica Nip is a lifestyle portrait photographer specializing in maternity, newborn, and family work.  She is an ambassador for the Association of Professional Newborn Photographers International.

Jessica works in both her home studio and in client homes, and she is able to problem-solve her way around any lighting situation to ensure the final images match what her clients expect in her brand, which is simple and soft imagery filled with beautiful, natural-looking light.

I wanted to share Jessica with you because she is a perfect example of someone who decided to carve out her own style when it comes to newborn photography.

Instead of putting herself in a box and copying what she saw on the internet, she created her own niche, leaned into what she loved, and redefined what newborn photography meant to her.

Bio:
Jessica is a lifestyle portrait photographer specializing in maternity, newborn, and family work. She is an ambassador for the Association of Professional Newborn Photographers International, which provides support and education for photographers about safety, business, and creating photographic art. Jessica has also presented workshops for The Milky Way photography school and the Uncommon Creative Collective. She lives in Toronto with her two loves – her husband and 9-year-old son.

2020 marks the seventh year that Jessica has been working as a full-time photographer. Her previous career as an elementary school teacher means she has lots of experience working with young children and she never shies away from engaging in epic fart-sound-battles with her littlest clients. Jessica works in both her home studio and in client homes, and she is able to problem-solve her way around any lighting situation to ensure the final images match what her clients expect, which is simple and soft imagery filled with beautiful, natural-looking light.
