Introduction (2:30)

Why Photo Bacon? (3:30)

Where should photographers start to get more photography clients that they want? (4:09)

Step 1: What is the benefit of what you bring, and where else do clients spend money on getting this benefit?

Step 2: What can you add to your business to bring more of that benefit to clients?

Step 3: How can you link your marketing verbiage to show how you bridge the gap?

How do you say yes to more of what you love, and no to what you don’t? (14:30)

I started cutting down on the sessions I didn’t love, and raising the prices for them. That way I didn’t have to quit cold turkey, and I was still making money from them, and I could focus on filling the gaps and getting more photography clients doing sessions I love. Eventually I was able to completely drop the sessions I didn’t love.

What to do when you’re struggling to get inquiries? (16:58)

Stop thinking of yourself as just a photographer. Rather think of yourself as a person who brings joy with your photography. Create marketing that is emotional.

How do you price yourself to create a profit? (18:06)

Confidence is key. You have to believe in the value that you bring. Then calculate the amount of money you need to make from each session.

What do you wish more photographers knew? (20:46)

Photography doesn’t define you. Rather identify who you are as a person and know you can show that value in many ways, not just as a photographer.

Lightning Round! (22:49)

What are you artistically curious about? (24:56)

I’m taking historic photos and melding them with current photos.
